This is a really nice Bugeye.
Mitch is a West Coast car. He was restored in dry Medford Oregon, fit with a five speed Datsun transmission conversion, and modified with a performance tuned 1275 engine with Weber sidedraft carburetor and tuned exhaust with header. He was also fit with an oil cooler and great K&N air filters. This is a very clean restoration, quite tidy, and well executed. The entire package works.
Mitch got new foot well floor pans as part of his restoration. He lived and played in Oregon for a while, before relocating to Phoenix, AZ. Now this dry weather car is in our shop, and ready to go.
The car is outstanding for anyone who wants a great looking Bugeye with something extra-a bit more snarl, a lower stance, slightly wider tires, and an aggressive look. The car is fit with brand new Minilight knock offs with knock offs, and brand new tires. Stout roll bar. Racing seats will cradle you as you blast through the turns and celebrate a rear anti roll bar and great grip, with strong disk brakes to slow it all down as needed.
Mitch has an overdrive fifth gear for fast cruising and a flip forward nose for great engine access, plus an electric fan and electric fuel pump for urban assault driving. Belt-in with color coordinated wide racing lap belts for fast fun! Cockpit trim was powdercoated in black for durability-looks very nice and uniform. Top is very good and fits easily over roll bar. Custom short tonneau snaps around roll bar.
He’s nice and clean under the hood! I’ll have a driving video soon so you can see how much fun Mitch is to toss into a turn.
