It was very cold today, about 33 degrees, with a 1-3 inches of snow forecast for tonight. But the roads are dry, and the salt has been washed away by prior rain storms, and so it was prime Bugeye driving weather to keep all seals exercised and all lubricants flowing.
People sometimes ask me if you can use a Bugeye in the winter… absolutely! Why sequester your fun to only the summer months? I enjoyed every bit of the 20 miles I put on this Bugeye today. I found myself quite content and cozy in Bob’s covered cockpit.
Above are my favorite panoramic photos from a session today with “Bob”. Here you can see Long Island Sound and the Thimble Islands, not far from our shop in Connecticut.
