Now SOLD To John-Congratulations!!! This is an especially wonderful story-the old project MGA sitting in the garage (in the way) fully disassembled (and providing no joy) will be sold on EBAY as is and this car will take it’s place… for less money than the cost of building the project! If you have a similar project, we have two more MGAs ready to go! Check out our “best in show” red 57 MGA and our silver metallic 58…
We love MGAs, they’re great Bugeye stable mates… a little bigger, a little more stately, a little more elegant… with the same delightful simplicity. I have an MGA in my personal collection, and we now have two great ones for sale with a third coming soon.
This example is a wonderful MGA you can drive anywhere. The car was restored about 10 years ago, and presents beautifully with excellent paint and interior. This year, she got new leather seats and new wire wheels and tires. The car is very solid and is in wonderful condition overall.
This great MGA was last owned by a client in Pennsylvania who took great care of the car. He drove it about 3000 miles during his three years of ownership. He regularly serviced the car and babied it.
It already has a new electronic ignition equipped pertronix distributor and a very nice walnut dashboard and upgraded wood steering wheel, as well as a great canvas tan tonneau and very good top. The luggage rack is a nice bonus for weekend getaways. The car runs great and drives great. We just put in new rear shocks for an improved ride.
She has very good side curtains included. See photos posted at the end of the photo album. Also included is the sidecurtain pouch that mounts behind the seats, which has been removed and placed in the trunk to make more room in the cockpit. This can be re attached behind the seats if desired by the new owner.
The prior owner also fit an alternator, a nice upgrade from the generator, as they have better output and tend to be more reliable. He also upgraded to much brighter headlights for night rides home. He fit relays to handle the lighting load properly. He also fit LED park and brake lights, for much better visibility. Wind wings and sun visors, as well as dual fender mirrors were also installed. These all improve drivability. It’s all very well done.
There is a large folder of receipts included (see photo), detailing all the work that has been done to the car. The engine build receipts are also included, and the entire engine was completely rebuilt in 2003. I would estimate that there are about 5000 miles on the engine since then.
We have a second red MGA best in show winner, available for someone who wants the best. This car is excellent, just not as perfect as our other example. You can enjoy this stunning classic car for a very reasonable price.
